How it works & rules
Virtual money only. Nothing here is real money or real metal, nothing is for sale, and there's nothing to win except bragging rights and a shoutout on the show.
Seasons run monthly (Central time). On the 1st, everyone starts fresh with $1,000 and final standings lock in.
Buying: raw metal costs live spot (gold, silver, platinum and palladium per troy ounce; copper per pound). Graded coins cost their metal value plus a set collector premium, based on real dealer prices.
Selling: raw metal sells back at 85% of spot. Graded coins sell back at 90% of their current price. Just like real life, flipping costs you. Holding doesn't.
Vault value = cash plus your holdings at today's buy price. Ties go to the player with fewer trades.
The house: HubCityBullion is our official account. It plays along so you can see if you beat the house, but it isn't ranked and can't win.
Minimum trade is $1. Graded coins trade in whole coins. Max 60 trades an hour.
One player per person. Hub City Bullion can remove offensive names or duplicate accounts.
Prices come from a live spot feed and may differ slightly from other sources. Not investment advice.
